I think know exactly how the author feels I have been in a similar situation, when I was preparing for the GED test. My teacher told me that my writing was strong and that I would get a good score. She based this on my assignments and practice tests. When I got in to the room to take the test I clammed up. I was barely able to get started on the topic that was given. Then, when I did get started it was barely a page long. I then had to wait for 3 weeks to get the score back and the anticipation was killing me. When the test came back I barely passed that part. I am hoping that I will learn some better techniques for my writing from the English 99 class.
